Pipeline Renewal Committee
The purpose of this committee is to focus on pipelines and appurtenances.
It shall:
1) identify existing procedures and provide proven information about new procedures for water system pipe maintenance and rehabilitation;
2) gather data on costs and effectiveness including field performance data, pipe friction factors, leak surveys, main break frequency, computer modeling and useful life;
3) investigate and publish criteria or conduct seminars for deciding when to rehabilitate (based on 2) above);
4) respond to questions concerning water system piping maintenance and rehabilitation.
The committee shall include representatives from the Business Administration and Water Quality divisions. It reports to the Water Distribution Division.
