Scholarship Program Goal: The goal of the CA-NV Section's scholarship program is to support students planning a career in the professional drinking water world, including water/ wastewater treatment plant operators, field/ distribution system operators, chemists, lab technicians, biologists, ecologists, environmental and civil engineers, mechanical/electrical/plumbing trades, environmental scientist, public administration, financiers, economists...whatever the role that supports safe drinking water. The Section currently offers four $2500 scholarships for those pursuing a two-year or four-year college degree program. It offers two $5000 scholarships for those pursuing graduate studies at the Masters or Doctorate levels. And it also offers two $1000 One AWWA Operator scholarships for those training to be a water system operator. Committee Mission The mission of the CA-NV Section's scholarship committee is to oversee the Section's scholarship program. The committee solicits and evaluates applications, awards scholarships, and provides outreach materials for the program. It also organizes and oversees fundraising efforts for the scholarship endowment. Scholarships are open to anyone with a demonstrated interest in a career in the professional drinking water world.
