Young Professionals Committee

The purpose of the Young Professionals Committee is; 1) encourage young professionals to become active participants of AWWA; 2) develop programs of interest to young professionals in the drinking water industry; 3) promote the benefits of membership in AWWA by increasing opportunities for participation and career development, and to identify younger industry members who can be encouraged to take an active leadership role in the association; 4) perform outreach functions to college students; 5) work with retired group members and Board members as mentors to other young professionals; 6) utilize CA-NV Section student membership to promote young professional membership; 7) collaborate with the Education Committee on the process for scholarship awardees; 8) promote increased understanding between the different facets of the water industry.
