CA-NV AWWA Water College

Water College Overview

In 1999, CA-NV AWWA founded the Water College to actively support the CA-NV AWWA mission. The Water College specializes in water curriculum and instruction. Its focus is to make water education accessible to everyone in the drinking water profession; the Water College offers classes throughout the year at a variety of sites throughout California and Nevada. The Water College offers 40-44 hour courses, (which are equivalent to 3.6 - 4.0 CEU's) to meet the growing demand for water education.
Since 2001, CA-NV AWWA has been accredited as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 1760 Old Meadow Road, Suite 500, McLean, VA 22102.  In obtaining this approval, the CA-NV AWWA has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard which is widely recognized as the Standard of good practice internationally. As a result of the Authorized Provider accreditation status, CA-NV AWWA is authorized to offer IACET CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard. Both the California Department of Public Health and the Nevada Department of Environmental Protection recognizes CA-NV AWWA Water College courses and workshops as a provider of continuing education units and contact hours. A complete list of current courses and workshops is available by visiting the Class Schedule Page.
