CA-NV AWWA Water College

Overview

In 1999, CA-NV AWWA founded the Water College to actively support the CA-NV AWWA mission. The Water College provides quality education to the drinking water profession by offering workshops and IACET accredited courses.  In order to meet the needs of our members, the Water College provides educational opportunities at numerous locations throughout the states of California and Nevada, as well as online through webinars and online classes. The Water College structures its calendar to ensure that this education is accessible to everyone in the drinking water profession, offering classes, workshops, and conferences throughout the year at various locations throughout California and Nevada. 

 Program Goals:
•    Develop education that meets the needs of the water industry
•    Train and Educate the Water Profession
•    Improve the quality, safety, and stability of supply of potable water to consumers through education
•    Be the authoritative resource for water education

The CA-NV AWWA Water College is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).  The CA-NV AWWA Water College complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard, which is recognized internationally as a standard of excellence in instructional practices. As a result of this accreditation, The CA-NV AWWA Water College is authorized to issue the IACET CEU.

Both the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) and the Nevada Department of Environmental Protection (NDEP) recognizes CA-NV AWWA Water College courses and workshops as a provider of continuing education units and contact hours.
