Members of the CA-NV AWWA Section are invited to participate in this years Tap Water Day event on May 5, 2016 at Los Angeles City Hall. The event is being held as part of AWWA’s national Drinking Water Week May 1-7. You can support public water by remembering to bring reusable bottles, use the WeTap app to find the nearest drinking fountain on the go, and taking efforts to conserve every drop. Build your appreciation for public water by reading your water quality report and asking your local park and school to insure fountains are maintained as well as new hydration stations are added.

Come hear how Tap Water is a top priority for all of California!

The goal of Tap Water Day is to focus attention on the vital role that a sustainable drinking water supply plays in the economic and environmental health of the southwestern United States, particularly in California and Nevada.
Tap Water Day has three primary goals:
1. Educating consumers on the vital role tap water plays in their daily lives, and the central role section members play in providing safe, high quality water in a sustainable fashion
2. Raising awareness of the continuing stresses on the water supply system in California and Nevada and the need to invest in sustainable water infrastructure
3. Providing opportunities for children to learn lifelong habits of good stewardship of this valuable resource.
