The California-Nevada Section, AWWA  would like to thank you for being a speaker at our Spring Conference and agreeing to share valuable information with our attendees. We look forward to seeing you in Sacramento!

Speaker Notifications

We would like to thank everyone that submitted an abstract for our Spring Conference 2019. The abstracts are currently under review by our Technical Program Committee. Speakers will be notified in late January via email of their abstract approval along with their date and time of presentation. Please add marketing@ca-nv-awwa.org to your email to ensure that you receive the email and it does not go to the junk folder.

Speaker Registration

All speakers must fill out a Speaker Registration Form and submit to the Section by February 28, 2019. Section policy requires all speakers to register and pay for the days they plan to attend the conference. However, complimentary registration may be granted by the Section Chair if any of the following circumstances apply:

  • Traveling from a location outside of California or Nevada;
  • Attending only for the day of the scheduled presentation for the express purpose of giving the talk; or
  • Other mitigating circumstances

If you have registration questions please email Accounting/Registration Specialist, Shobhana Chickarmane at schickarmane@ca-nv-awwa.org .

All presenters will be provided access to our "Speaker Ready Room. " This room is available to re-arrange material, check equipment, etc. An LCD projector, laptop and screen will be available should you wish to prepare for your presentation. Section staff and/or volunteers at Speaker Registration will let you know where the room is located.

Presentation Guidelines

All technical session presentations are provided for educational purposes only. Technical session presentations should never be sales-based or centered on a proprietary interest of the speaker in any way. Speakers must limit company logos to the first slide only. Speakers may not advertise, promote, endorse or market their own business interests at any time during their presentation.

FAQ'S

When will I know if my abstract was accepted? Speakers will receive an email from marketing@ca-nv-awwa.org in late January with the time and day of their approved presentation.

My colleague received an email their presentation was accepted, but I have not received anything. Please check your junk mail as the email may go to your junk folder. If you still did not receive an email and would like to know the status of your abstract, please contact William Penn, Director of Educational Programs at 909.291.2116 or Cari Campbell, Technical Program Director at 562.743.6273.

I have a schedule conflict and can't present at the time I was scheduled. Please contact your committee chair for any schedule changes. They will make sure to let the Section know about the changes. Your committee chair contact information will be in the acceptance email.

I have a co-speaker and they are not listed on the program. Please send an email to dtoro@ca-nv-awwa.org with your name, session, presentation title/day/time and who your co-speakers are. We will need the co-speaker's name, company, email address and short biography.

I forgot to submit my biography when I filled out the call for abstracts form. You may send in your short biography to dtoro@ca-nv-awwa.org no later than March 18, 2019. You may also include a photo (120x120 px; JPG or PNG). This information will only be available on the mobile app.
