Find the automated email titled “Your Webinar Registration is Almost Complete".
You must register for ‘webinar-access’ next.
- CONTINUE to part-2 registration process by clicking the link for ‘webinar-access' registration in the email. Fill in your full first and last name, and company.
- A final ' automated-email ' from
mvandommelen@ca-nv-awwa.org provides the final ZOOM LINK to join the webinar on the morning of class. Save the email or add the event to your calendar for the morning of.
Be sure to have the zoom link before the morning of class.

This webinar will look at the advantages and disadvantages of alternative disinfectants such as ozone, chlorine dioxide and UV disinfection. It will also discuss alternative disinfectants in terms of usage, operation and maintenance. It will discuss using AOP for indirect potable reuse projects and for reducing contaminants of emerging concern. The webinar will also look at the usage, operation and maintenance of biological active filtration. Finally, the webinar will look at iron and manganese removal.
Instructor:
Henry Palechek has been working in the instrumentation and control field since 1986. He and his staff designed and installed a SCADA system. That system controls a 106 MGD water treatment plant with ozone as its primary disinfectant and oversees a 50 square mile water distribution system. Henry has been teaching community college classes in water technology since 1993. He holds a BS degree in Information Systems and four AS degrees in Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Electronic Technology, and Computer Science. He currently holds a California T5 and D2 certification and an AWWA CA/NV AWTO 4.
