Description:
A key step for the success of California and Nevada indirect and direct potable reuse projects is to quickly train thousands of experienced water and wastewater operators with the skills and knowledge necessary to operate advanced water treatment facilities (AWTFs).

Join CA-NV AWWA leaders for a two-hour virtual kick off of the AWT Education Project.  The Section is developing an AWT textbook, trainer materials, and practice exams in order to provide critical resources for new Advanced Water Treatment Operators (AWTO).  We're proud to tap into the expertise of dozens of volunteer leaders, firms, and agencies currently supporting the project.  Learn more about AWT operations and how you can support operator education.

Learner Outcomes:
  1. Understanding the Section's AWT education programs and steps necessary for AWTO certification.
  2. The day-to-day experience of AWT operators and details to keep top of mind.
  3. Lessons learned and planning steps for AWT facility start-up.
Register your entire AWTF team and encourage your rising operators to attend.  Grade 3 water treatment and wastewater operators are eligible to take the AWTO certification exam.  To learn more visit www.awtoperator.org

Event Starts with California Division of Drinking Water Presentation
