AMI Technology & Software Workshop

Free

Registration for webinars is a 2-step process.  Once you have registered here, please look for an email titled "Your Webinar Registration is Almost Complete" for the link to complete the registration process.

Description:
Many water utilities have moved to Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) meter reading systems to increase reading and system management efficiencies; many more are considering the same move.  As there are various AMI options on the market, it is important for those considering deploying an AMI system to understand the advantages and challenges of each network type.  The workshop will review the basics of AMI networks and provide information on each of the popular network types on the market (e.g., traditional point-to-point, mesh, cellular, IOT, LORA, and Sigfox).

With many new developments in AMI technology and software, the workshop will also provide information on the move to smarter AMI networks; adding sensors and remote control features as well as software integrating AMI reading data with other utility data (e.g., SCADA, work order management, hydraulic modeling, etc.) to help manage water loss control and infrastructure planning.

The workshop will be followed by an open forum meeting to allow collaboration between utilities with and without AMI systems.

This webinar is 8:00 am - 1:00 pm.
