Strongly Recommended:
  • Working knowledge and practical experience in performing water audits with the AWWA Free Water Audit Software.  The WAV class does not provide training on water auditing.
  • To participate in this course your computer or laptop will need working microphone and a video camera.

Description:
The Water Audit Validator course, based on AWWA Free Water Audit Software Version 6 is designed to qualify individuals to perform Level 1 water audit validations in California.  An exam will be offered following the class, proctored by CA-NV AWWA.  Water audit validators examine water loss audits inputs and supporting documents to verify that the correct methodology was used, to evaluate the selections made in the interactive data grading sheets, and to identify and document sources of uncertainty.  Per Senate Bill 555, urban retail water suppliers must submit validated distribution system water audits for all water systems under their management.  Submittal deadlines are October 1 of each year for any Calendar Year water audits, and January 1 each year for any Fiscal Year water audits.  Individuals who successfully complete this class and pass the exam will receive a Water Audit Validator certificate.  The certificate will be valid for 3 years, and applicable for the AWWA Free Water Audit Software Version 6.

This webinar is September 20, September 21 and September 22, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.  The exam will be given on September 23, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.

All fees are non-refundable thereafter. Transfers are based on availability. No transfer requests will be authorized if they are not received more than 15 days prior to class start date. A 100% refund or credit of your registration fee will be issued if a class is canceled by the Section.
