Water Quality & Regs For Chemical Parameters-WS

Objective:
Provide attendees with a general but complete overview of water quality aspects that pertain to drinking water quality with a focus on chemical and physical constituents, along with the regulatory requirements of these constituents.

Description:
The workshop begins with an introduction on source water types & contaminant classification, followed by a brief review of treatment strategies. An introduction on drinking water regulations is then provided, including a presentation of the regulatory agencies, potential health effects that may results from water contaminants, & regulatory processes (Unregulated Contaminants Monitoring, UCM, Program; and Contaminant Candidate Lists, CCL). The key physical & chemical water quality parameters are then discussed, including definitions, characteristics, removal or control, monitoring, & regulatory requirements.

Earn up to 8 contact hours.
This class is 7:30 am - 4:30 pm.
