Lead Service: Replacement & Flushing

Of all of the seminars, webinars and workshops that provide fragmented information about how to properly replace lead service lines, few offer specific information consistent with the new ANSI/AWWA C810 Replacement and Flushing of Lead Service Lines Standard.  Some present on the value of replacement effort, some focus exclusively on the regulatory requirements associated with the process.  There are others that present viable options specific to the replacement of these service lines.  This workshop concentrates on all of the essential procedures necessary to appropriately communicate to customers as well as how to perform these important replacements in a timely manner.

This one-day workshop offers information vital to the replacement of lead service lines presenting the following topics:
  • The background, history, challenges and health risks associated with lead service lines
  • How to effectively identify and locate the lead service lines within the distribution system
  • The value of an appropriate communication and customer notification program
  • The identification and review of the various lead service line replacement options
  • The importance of developing a lead service line replacement preparation process
  • The most efficient way to properly flush the replaced lead service line
  • How to accurately document the process to confirm the consistency of the work completed

This workshop is 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
