Description:
Cybersecurity risk to critical infrastructure organizations of all kinds is dynamic, to say the least.  Recently the National Security Council, Whitehouse, and U.S. EPA have emphasized the increasing threat posed to water and wastewater utilities by malicious cyberattacks.  So, what is a utility to do?  Luckily AWWA has developed some excellent resources to support water utilities assessment of their cybersecurity posture.  In addition, new approaches like Cyber-Informed Engineering, which takes an engineering and operations-first approach to cybersecurity, are emerging to help asset owners successfully implement cybersecurity programs.  This training will include discussions of all of these topics.  The presenters will emphasize their experience working with water and wastewater utilities across the U.S. to provide context and recommendations.  This presentation will also provide guidance on satisfying the cybersecurity-related requirements of the America's Water Infrastructure Act of 2018 which drinking water utilities serving more than 3,300 people must adhere to.

This webinar is 8:00 am - 12:00 pm on October 3.
