Introduction Water Distribution Course-SAC

Continuing Education Units:  3.6 CEUs Completion with Grade C or better and attendance of at least 36 hours of contact time

Suggested Prerequisites:  HS diploma and/or GED and some basic math skills

Overview:  This one week 36-hour course provides a comprehensive introduction to water distribution systems for Water Distribution Operators at the apprenticeship level. Participants learn key concepts and terms in topic areas including: water sources and regulations; wells and pumps; water pressure and head; water and power; instrumentation and controls; and water distribution system operation. The essentials of water mathematics are introduced throughout the course to increase your skill in using formulas and conversion factors on the job.

Schedule:  This course is scheduled Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

Requests for refunds and transfers must be made in writing and are subject to the following conditions: Full refund of fee paid (minus 25% handling fee) will be issued for cancellations received more than 15 days prior to class start date. All fees are non-refundable thereafter. Transfers are based on availability. No transfer requests will be authorized if they are not received more than 15 days prior to class start date. A 100% refund or credit of your registration fee will be issued if a class is canceled by the Section.
