Operator Competitions Committee Charge

Coordinate and conduct the Annual Pipe Tapping, Hot Flare and Meter Madness Competitions held during each Spring Conference
Evaluate other activities/competitions that may be incorporated in future meetings and conferences to increase the participation of operating personnel
Develop and maintain a "how-to" manual for conducting the Competitions
May video tape the contest proceedings and supply them to the contestants and the Section office. Tapes will also be made available, at a reasonable cost, to interested agencies.
Supply registration information, before the specified deadline, to the Section office to be included in the Spring Registration Package
Supply the office with contest results and other promotional material to be published in 'SOURCE'
Committee consists of a Committee Chair, which should have a strong background in field pipeline/service procedures. There shall be three other members, one of which should be a supplier representative. The Spring Local Arrangements Committee will supply one of its members as liaison to assist in coordinating this event. This committee reports to the Operators Division.
