Registration for webinars is a 2-step process.  Once you have registered here, please look for an email titled "Your Webinar Registration is Almost Complete" for the link to complete the registration process in Zoom.  After registering in Zoom, you will receive a confirmation email containing your unique link to the webinar.

During the webinar, please check the participant list to make sure your name appears.  Contact hours will only be issued to the names that appear on the participant list.

Refunds are not permitted within 15 days of the webinar.

Description:
Proper electrical motor operations are critical to a water utility being able to treat and distribute safe potable water.  Many factors can affect motor reliability and operational costs.  Since poor power quality can shorten a motor's lifespan, it is important that the control system be properly designed.  Due to the rising costs of energy, this webinar will also look at methods to control energy costs.

This webinar is 7:30 am - 11:30 am on June 30.

Instructor: Henry Palechek

Henry Palechek is a retired water utility supervisor with 34 ½ years of public service. He started his water career at the City of San Diego and finished it at Helix Water District. Helix Water District has a conventional 106 MGD water treatment plant with ozone as its primary disinfectant, a 50 square mile water distribution system, serving about 500,000 connections including delivering water to three other districts. Henry has been teaching community college classes in water technology since 1993.  He holds a BS degree in Information Systems and four AS degrees in Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Electronic Technology, and Computer Science. He currently holds a California T5 and D3 certification and an AWWA CA/NV AWTO 5.

Refund Policy

Requests for refunds and transfers must be made in writing and are subject to the following conditions: Full refund of fee paid (minus 25% handling fee) will be issued for cancellations received more than 15 days prior to class start date. All fees are non-refundable thereafter. Transfers are based on availability. No transfer requests will be authorized if they are not received more than 15 days prior to class start date. A 100% refund or credit of your registration fee will be issued if a class is canceled by the Section.
