Description:
Water Quality sampling is an essential and integral part of every utility's compliance and operational activity.  This two-day workshop provides participants with both classroom instruction and hands-on activities, ensuring students gain a thorough understanding of the sampling process, and practice they need to take a variety of samples with confidence.  Essential for the beginner, also a great refresher for those who collect samples regularly.  An opportunity to eliminate habits that could compromise sample integrity, gain consistency in the sampling process within and between utilities, and gain a better understanding of the regulatory process and responsibilities associated with water quality sampling in the State of California.

  • Regulations and the regulatory process, and how these apply to the sampling requirements
  • Sampling goals and standards
  • A thorough investigation of how to sample for at least 20 field and laboratory parameters, including chlorine, bacteriologicals, VOCs, inorganics, radiologicals, bioassays, pH, etc.
  • Chain of Custody relevance and management
  • Sample Integrity management
