Intermediate Water Treatment Course

Continuing Education Units: 3.6 CEUs Completion with Grade C or better & attendance of at least 36 hours Prerequisites: Successful completion of an Introduction to Water Treatment class (or equivalent) and/or at least 1 year of experience as a T1 operator; some basic math skills. This 36-hour course focuses on advanced principles of conventional surface water treatment & disinfection, and on alternative treatment methodologies. This course is designed for people interested in advancing their employment in the field of drinking water treatment beyond the journey level. Topics addressed: water quality regulations, conventional treatment processes of coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, & filtration, plus disinfection & related topics, plus miscellaneous treatment processes including fluoridation, corrosion, iron & manganese removal, softening, activated carbon adsorption, aeration, ion exchange, & membrane filtration.

Refund Policy

Requests for refunds must be made in writing and are subject to the following conditions: Full refund of fee paid (minus $50.00 handling fee) will be issued for cancellations received more than two weeks prior to class or event date. All fees are non-refundable thereafter.

Transfer Policy

Requests for transfers must be made in writing.  Transfers are based on availability.  No transfer requests will be authorized within 72 hours prior to the class date.
