Cross Connection Workshop - SM

Objectives Include:
  • Developing a Cross-Connection Control program for a water utility.
  • Conducting onsite sanitary survey of the potable water system and applying appropriate cross connection control measures.
  • Conducting cross connection control testing.
  • Describe the roles of the water agencies, regulatory agencies, and end users involved in water and recycled water.
Description:
This eight hour workshop is an overview of the administrative and technical procedures required for a cross connection program, including system inspections, hazard evaluation, identification of cross connection problems and backflow prevention devices, shut-down tests, and reclaimed water systems.  This workshop is intended as a primer or review for cross-connection control personnel and utilizes AWWA M-14 Manual of Cross Connection Control.

This class is 7:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Earn up to 8 contact hours.
